Amid the internal conflict with Cristina, one of Kicillof's ministers delivered a harsh message

It is about Carlos Bianco, one of the officials closest to Governor Axel Kicillof

Carlos Bianco, Minister of Government of the province of Buenos Aires and one of the closest officials to Governor Axel Kicillof, launched a harsh message toward the interior of Peronism amid the internal conflict with Cristina Kirchner heading into this year's provincial and national legislative elections.

"In the capital, it was split, we went in unity, and we lost. And then they want to transpose that lesson, so to speak, to the province. But in the other provinces, it was split, we went separately, and the ruling parties won," Bianco expressed in an interview on the program A confesión de parte, hosted by Romina Manguel on Radio Milenium.

The provincial official added: "When you look at the recent and not so recent history of midterm elections in the province of Buenos Aires, the last time Peronism won a midterm election, it was Cristina (Kirchner) in 2005. It seems to me that there are other issues under discussion that have to do with how we organize ourselves as a political force for 2027."

In that line, Bianco stated that, "beyond the fact that we will do everything possible from the Movimiento Derecho al Futuro to win the provincial and national deputy elections", the essential thing is "to organize a political force from here on out".

He later emphasized: "There is constant talk about unity. Well, we achieved unity in 2019, and it didn't go well. It was an electoral unity, not a political unity, clearly, because the government, with its ups and downs, wasn't a successful government, otherwise they would have been reelected".

Bianco argued that unity could be a necessary condition, though he warned it must be built differently: "Unity seems to me to be a necessary condition, and it has to be a unity that doesn't hurt, unlike... You perfectly remember what was said, unity until it hurts. Well, the unity of 2019 still hurts us", he remarked.

He also referred to the possibility of an agreement with former President Cristina Kirchner: "Hopefully there will be a photo, of Axel, of Cristina, of all the Peronist leaders in unity, after the conditions are created for a new political alternative for the future. Not an electoral patchwork".

In Buenos Aires territory, two elections will be held this year: on September 7, seats in the provincial Legislature—Buenos Aires deputies and senators—will be renewed, and on October 27, there will be voting for national deputies.
