Red Bull will have to face the Italian Grand Prix with a change in its lineup. Isack Hadjar is still not in a position to return after the injury he suffered during the summer break and will once again have to follow the competition from the sidelines.

The French driver fractured his wrist during a boxing session on his vacation and had already missed the Dutch Grand Prix. Although there was hope within the team to have him in Monza, it was ultimately decided to not rush the recovery times and to opt for Liam Lawson again.

"Liam will race alongside Max at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, while Isack continues to show encouraging progress after the wrist injury he suffered during the summer break", Red Bull announced. They added: "The team is closely monitoring his rehabilitation and will not take unnecessary risks with his return to competition, while wishing him a speedy recovery".

Thus, Lawson will once again get into the Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen for the second consecutive weekend. The New Zealander had occupied that same seat in Zandvoort and had a standout performance, finishing 7th after starting from eighth position.

The move also brings about a change in Racing Bulls. Yuki Tsunoda, Red Bull's reserve driver, will once again take the seat that Lawson left vacant and will be reunited with Arvid Lindblad as in the Netherlands, where he finished 11th, just outside the points zone.

In parallel to these movements, during the Italian weekend there will be another specific change within the structure: Ayumu Iwasa, one of the reserve drivers, will drive Verstappen's car during the first free practice session. This will be one of the participations aimed at fulfilling the mandatory sessions for rookie drivers established for the season.

When will Colapinto race again

After his challenging participation in Zandvoort, the Argentine, who will now have the upgrades in his A526 that Alpine developed during the summer break, will seek to recover at the Italian Grand Prix. Activities at the iconic Italian circuit will begin on Friday, September 4 with the first free practices and will conclude on Sunday, the 6th with the main race.

Previously, the native of Pilar had two races at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The first was in 2024, in his debut as a full-time driver for Williams, where he finished 12th, while the second was last year, already with Alpine, where he crossed the finish line in 17th position.
