María Ibarzabal Murphy, current Secretary of Strategic Normative Planning, will assume the Legal and Technical Secretariat, a key position within Javier Milei's government.
The official, who will maintain her current responsibilities, will replace Javier Herrera Bravo, who resigned for health reasons, as explained by the Government.
Ibarzabal, close to presidential advisor Santiago Caputo, who is of utmost trust to the president and has an excellent relationship with the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, will have the responsibility of "caring for the president's signature," which involves ensuring the legality of government actions.

Previously, Ibarzabal played a key role in the normative design of the main policies of the La Libertad Avanza administration. Her influence was crucial in the drafting of the "Law of Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of Argentines," the electoral reform that included the elimination of the PASO, and the reorganization of the Government and its dependencies.
When communicating the changes in the area, the official X account, Office of the President, highlighted María Ibarzabal Murphy's key role in several of the most significant reforms of Javier Milei's government.
The Office emphasized her participation in crucial issues such as the structural reform of the Revenue and Customs Control Agency (ARCA), the implementation of the Single Paper Ballot Law, the suspension of the Open, Simultaneous, and Mandatory Primaries (PASO), the elimination of privileges in public companies, and the hereditary appointments.
