Adorni, Quirno, and Santilli debut in their new positions

The new government team includes three key figures:

  • Manuel Adorni, who takes over as Chief of Cabinet, replacing Guillermo Francos, after having served as presidential spokesperson;
  • Pablo Quirno, new Minister of Foreign Affairs, replacing Gerardo Werthein;
  • and Diego Santilli, appointed to lead the Ministry of the Interior.

All three join the presidential team, which will be responsible for coordinating the second stage of the administration, characterized by a more executive agenda with a strong economic focus.

The first to arrive at Balcarce 50 was Manuel Adorni, around 7:30 a.m., to prepare for his debut in the new role of Chief of Cabinet of Ministers. Subsequently, the President arrived at 9:00 a.m.

Soon after, Quirno and Santilli arrived, followed by Ministers Luis Caputo (Economy), Patricia Bullrich (Security), Luis Petri (Defense), Mariano Cúneo Libarona (Justice), and Sandra Pettovello (Human Capital).

The meeting is also attended by the head of the Central Bank, Santiago Bausili, and the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, who reaffirmed his role after the recent electoral victory.

The only official who did not attend was Federico Sturzenegger, Minister of Deregulation and State Transformation, due to official commitments in Madrid.

Meanwhile, presidential advisor Santiago Caputo continued to maintain a low profile, although he remains one of the Government's main strategists.

Toward a new stage of administration

The meeting, held at Casa Rosada, marks the formal beginning of Javier Milei's new Cabinet after the changes announced over the weekend. According to sources, the meeting aims to align the ministers with the roadmap for the second phase of the administration, focusing on economic and legislative issues.
