Javier Milei met with Santiago Peña and highlighted the ideological and economic affinity
President Milei visited Paraguay and both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepen bilateral ties
President Javier Milei concluded his official visit to Paraguay this Wednesday, where he met with his counterpart, Santiago Peña, reaffirming their commitment to deepen bilateral ties.
During the meeting, Milei emphasized the ideological and economic affinity that unites both governments, highlighting their common commitment to the free market model.
"It's a pleasure for me to be in Paraguay and to address all of you. I want to thank the Paraguayan government and, especially, President Santiago Peña, with whom I share a love for the ideas of freedom," expressed the Argentine leader.

Milei praised Paraguay's economic performance over the last two decades, noting that the country "has diligently applied the ideas of economic freedom," which has allowed it to maintain stability, defeat inflation, and achieve consistent growth. "Thanks to this, Paraguay attracts investors and residents from all over the world; clearly, they're doing something right," he stated.
He also referred to the results of his administration in Argentina, stating that his government managed to pull the country out of the worst crisis in its history, avoiding a "hyperinflation and an unprecedented social and economic catastrophe."
According to Milei, the measures adopted by his administration are the same that once positioned Argentina among the most prosperous nations in the world.
"We know that the path to prosperity is none other than deregulation and fiscal surplus, and that the common good is achieved through the ideas of freedom, not from the idea of social justice, which is the forced redistribution of wealth on which collectivists work," he concluded.

With a future-oriented perspective, the Argentine president highlighted that the relationship between Argentina and Paraguay is based on "common values" and that this strategic alliance could become a model to follow for the rest of the continent, especially in a context where the region faces multiple challenges.
"A continent that, for too long, has suffered in so many places from the blows of populism can, once and for all, move forward," Milei expressed, alluding to the policies that both governments intend to carry out.
The leader also expressed his confidence in strengthening the bond between both nations, stating: "There are no extravagant formulas, only the conviction that freedom is the only possible path."
Milei concluded his speech with a hopeful message directed at the citizens of both countries: "May God bless the Argentine people, may God bless the Paraguayan people, may the forces of heaven accompany us, and long live freedom!"
After the official remarks, the presidents concluded the meeting with a private lunch in the Salón Libertad, after which Milei began his return to Argentina.
