Joaquín Levinton, the charismatic leader of Turf, joined the atmosphere of the 2026 World Cup with a very Argentine version of an English hit. In the lead-up to the crucial match between the National Team and England for the semifinals, the musician picked up his guitar and reinterpreted Wonderwall, the song that British fans sing at the top of their lungs.

The video is already circulating strongly on social media and shows Levinton adapting the chords and lyrics to cheer on the Scaloneta. With his characteristic humor, the Buenos Aires artist transformed the classic by the Gallagher brothers into a total message of support for Scaloni's team.

It all started as a response to a comment from Liam Gallagher. The Oasis singer had said that, although he loves Argentina and its people, he doesn't want them to beat his team. That phrase caused a stir, and Levinton quickly responded with talent and wit.

In the new version, the musician changed several verses to turn it into a battle cry. “English, I tell you again, you’re out of the World Cup. Just like in Mexico '86, we’re going to beat you again,” he sings with conviction.

The Albiceleste Message

Levinton included references that resonate deeply with the Argentine people. He spoke of the Malvinas, of the fallen, and of the 40 million fans who dream of another final. He also mentioned Diego Maradona, who “guides us from the sky,” and Lionel Messi, hoping that the National Team will be champions once again.

“That’s why I tell you, dear National Team, we’re going to win the semifinal. For Diego... and with Lionel, champions once again,” he says in the adapted lyrics. The chorus ends by repeating “The Hand of God” as a battle cry.

The initiative from the Turf musician came just as expectations for the match are rising. This is the first encounter of Messi against England wearing the Argentine jersey in a World Cup. The clash promises strong emotions, and fans are already living the lead-up to it to the fullest.
