The actress gave a harrowing testimony and demanded justice for the years of abuse she suffered alongside Contardi

Julieta Prandi experienced a heartbreaking moment as she concluded her testimony in the trial  against her ex-husband, who is accused of aggravated sexual abuse.

The actress and model was assisted by a doctor after losing consciousness in the midst of a deeply painful account. The verdict will be announced on August 13.

What happened during the final hearing of the trial?

In her closing statement, Prandi spoke with a trembling voice and was visibly affected. She recalled the years of abuse and isolation she endured with Claudio Contardi, whom she accused of repeated sexual abuse.

"It wasn't just once, it happened many times," she stated. She also explained that she waited five years for the opportunity to share what she had experienced before a court.

Over three sessions, Prandi detailed the episodes of violence and the consequences she still carries. She said that she was separated from her family and lived in a constant state of humiliation.

"I was dead. I still don't feel alive," she confessed. She added: "I would love to smile again without remembering the horror."

The actress also emphasized that she isn't seeking financial compensation. "He took absolutely everything from me, but everything I have I earned through work," she stated.

She asked that the process serve to represent all women who go through similar situations. "I wouldn't wish this on anyone," she said, referring to the toll of facing her abuser.

An urgent request to the court

Before concluding her statement, Prandi issued a warning: "This person is capable of anything." She asked the court to detain Contardi to protect her life and that of her children.

"I don't want to be dead twice, let me live in peace," she concluded. Her testimony was received in an atmosphere of deep shock.
