The Chamber of Appeals in Criminal and Correctional Matters confirmed this Thursday that Leandro García Gómez, former partner of Lourdes "Lowrdez" Fernández —a member of the renowned group Bandana—, must remain in custody while the investigation against him progresses.
The ruling reaffirms the decision previously made by Judge Diego Javier Slupski, who had denied his release "under any type of condition or bail."
According to the decision, the judges considered that there is a concrete risk of obstruction of the investigation, given that García Gómez has a criminal record and faces serious charges.

The singer's ex-boyfriend is accused of assault, gender-based violence, and unlawful deprivation of liberty, and he also has an embargo of 15 million pesos (33,069 pounds) imposed as part of the case.
The Chamber stated that "the serious nature of the investigated events, the nature of the alleged crime, and the attitude assumed by the defendant" are sufficient indicators that he would not voluntarily submit to the criminal process if released.
The decision was also made in line with the request of Prosecutor Silvana Russi, head of National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 43, who had expressly requested that García Gómez remain in custody.
OVD report: "High risk" for the artist
Meanwhile, alongside the judicial decision, the report prepared by the Office of Domestic Violence (OVD) on Lowrdez's situation became known, which determined that the artist is in a state of "high risk."
The document, prepared by an interdisciplinary team of professionals in law, psychology, and social work, describes a scenario of extreme vulnerability, where patterns of control, isolation, and psychological subjugation are identified, elements characteristic of abusive relationships.
Although Lourdes Fernández denied having suffered physical aggression by García Gómez, the specialists interpreted her testimony as that of "a woman manipulated by the abuser", a figure that encompasses the emotional impact, dependency, and cognitive distortion that are often caused in relationships of domination.
After the report became known, attorney Yamil Castro Bianchi, legal representative of the singer's mother, announced that he will request a new statement from Lourdes, this time under the hypothesis that she could have been a victim of crimes related to human trafficking for exploitation purposes.
