Cornellà also has a strong tradition in the training of soccer players, having been a youth academy for players such as Jordi Alba or David Raya, an aspect that fits with Messi's commitment to youth development. Currently, the Catalan team is going through a good present: it is in third place in its group, five points behind the leader, the CE Manresa, and in the qualifying zone for the playoffs due to the promotion to the Second RFEF

.

In this way, while continuing his professional career, the captain of the Argentine National Team begins to build his legacy from another role, with investments that aim at institutional growth and the formation of new generations in football.
