River Plate is getting closer to finalizing one of the most anticipated returns of the transfer market. After several weeks of negotiations and uncertainty, Lucas Beltrán changed his stance and now everything indicates that he will return to wear the jersey of the Núñez team.

At first, the 25-year-old forward prioritized continuing his career in Europe after finishing his loan at Valencia. That stance had stalled an operation that River had already set in motion with Fiorentina, the club that owns his rights. However, the situation changed in recent days and the conversations took a favorable turn for the team coached by Eduardo Coudet.

The River Plate management had already reached an understanding with the Italian club to acquire the forward through a loan with a fee of 500,000 euros and a purchase option of 6.7 million euros for 55% of his transfer. If that clause is executed, the operation would reach a total value close to 7.2 million euros.

Having overcome the main obstacle, which was the player's decision, the parties are now working on the final details of the contract. River is optimistic and believes that the definitive agreement could be finalized in the coming days, which would allow for the official return of the Córdoba native in this transfer market.
