After compromising audio recordings that would confirm an infidelity to Griselda Siciliani, went viral, Luciano Castro decided to speak publicly and take responsibility.
The actor, who usually keeps a low profile when it comes to personal conflicts, chose this time to face the scandal and express his discomfort with the content of the messages that came to light.
In a conversation with Intrusos (América TV), Castro appeared visibly affected and was blunt when he referred to the situation. "I feel ashamed when I listen to myself. I feel pathetic, and it makes me sad to put myself again in the same position of having to go out and explain things. It's absurd", he acknowledged, without trying to minimize the impact of the material that was released.
During the interview, the actor engaged in strong self-criticism and linked this episode to mistakes from the past. He even recalled the leak of intimate images that exposed him years ago and reflected on his own behavior. "I have the virtue of achieving great things in my life and immediately destroying them. One believes that it is funny, and I am an idiot. I must have patterns that I believe are improved, but that is not the case", he stated, admitting that he is going through the situation with shame.
Castro also referred in stark terms to the tone of the audio recordings that circulated on social media, in which he can be heard using an affected voice that caused ridicule. "Imagine that they catch you talking like El Zorro to ingratiate yourself with a young girl. One has to overcome many things; my case is a level of idiocy", he expressed, making it clear that he will not seek to justify himself or blame others. "I am not going to kick the ball out of bounds", he emphasized.
Regarding his relationship with Griselda Siciliani, the actor confirmed that they had a private conversation after the material was released and denied rumors of an open relationship. "This destroys trust; it doesn't slide off, this hurts. Griselda plays and thinks in a different league. We talked about it, and it was a conversation between us", he explained, while acknowledging the complexity of the situation they are going through.
Meanwhile, Siciliani's reaction also came under media scrutiny. In recent hours, the actress spoke on Moria Casán's show, where she addressed the subject with irony and a certain sense of humor, especially in reference to the audio recordings with a Spanish accent. However, according to what Juan Etchegoyen revealed on Mitre Live (Radio Mitre), that public attitude would not reflect the actress's real emotional state.
According to the information released by the journalist, the couple would have had an intense confrontation after the scandal escalated. "Griselda is devastated and gathered the courage to calm things down when she gave that interview", Etchegoyen asserted, who also indicated that the actress would have asked Castro for absolute honesty about whether there had been other acts of infidelity.
According to that version, Siciliani would have listened in silence to the actor's response and, after believing him that it was a single episode, she set an ultimatum. "I believe you that it was only this. Take care of me and do not expose me like this, and do not expose yourself either.
