The name of Luck Ra became a national trending topic in recent hours, after a tweet he posted in November 2015 resurfaced on social media in which he expressed his support for liberal ideas.
The message, which began circulating again after being picked up by accounts aligned with the libertarian government, led to an explosive increase in his digital visibility and a significant growth in his Spotify listener base.
According to data shared by the Liberal Noticias profile on the platform, Luck Ra reached 11 million monthly listeners, surpassing Lali Espósito, who has approximately 3.6 million. The official figures provided by Spotify caused the young man to become a trending topic on X (formerly Twitter).
Los números dejaron en evidencia la gran cantidad de escuchas que acumuló Luck Ra
The tweet in question was posted on November 12, 2015, ten days before the runoff election between Mauricio Macri and Daniel Scioli. There, Luck Ra wrote: "The choice in this politics is liberalism or corruption."
Another phrase from the artist from Córdoba also went viral, which has been circulating for years among liberal accounts: "This country hates the intellectual and the honest, educated person, and that way we'll never make progress, period."
Following the reappearance of these messages, libertarian users and supporters of President Javier Milei publicly expressed their support for the singer.
"I liked your music... and now I like it even more!" wrote a user on X. Another message said: "More artists like this, please." "My son used to listen to you, now I listen to you too. Great job, kid," added another user.
Una de las razones por las que el cantante habría bajado el perfil es porque su novia es amiga de gran cantidad de kukas
The wave of posts coincided with a visible increase in plays of his most popular songs, many of which are cuarteto tracks. The effect, known as "exposure bounce", usually occurs when an artist becomes the center of a public debate that goes beyond music.
The large number of tweets on the subject caused the young man to become a trending topic once again, but this time not because of his massive shows, but for supporting the liberal government.
For now, Luck Ra has chosen not to share political messages again, partly because the entire circle of his current girlfriend, La Joaqui, is deeply Kirchnerist; among them are Cazzu, Lali, and Ángela Torres.
