Regarding the elections in which La Libertad Avanza prevailed, the national deputy said, 'the Cordoban electorate is not foolish, there is a weariness with Peronism.'
In his analysis, the former mayor of Jesús María highlighted the wear and tear of Peronism and at the same time praised President Javier Milei's decision to come to Córdoba to highlight his differences.
Picat destacó que la ciudadanía “está más tranquila” tras las elecciones.
"What happened in Córdoba was very clear. I have been saying it for some time now. Milei had to polarize against the rest of Córdoba's Peronism. The decision to come to Córdoba was important; that polarization was achieved. In addition, there was fatigue. Córdoba's electorate is not foolish. Schiaretti was the cherry on top, but it turns out it was rotten," said the rural producer as well.
Strong criticism from Luis Picat toward Provincias Unidas
"The desire to put on the president's suit of Provincias Unidas ahead of time was something people noticed; it was disrespectful to the president," he added.
Regarding the post-election outlook, Picat highlighted that the public "is calmer," which is evident in the markets.

"I'm not talking about the financial market, but about the fact that people are willing to validate an economic situation. People are hopeful that in the next two years we will be better off."
The leader also said that he expects greater openness from the national government.
"I hope it opens up to other political forces or leaders who are willing to help, who are close to its ideas. Society also welcomes that," he said.
Luis Picat and a re-elected Milei in 2027 with the support of other forces
"If this is consolidated, I get the feeling that in 2027 we could have a re-elected Milei, but with greater support from the forces that did not dare to make their support explicit. We could build a bipartisan system: liberals on one side and progressives on the other."
Picat was also critical of the tax increase in Córdoba.
"One could give the province some leeway in 2024 because it was not known what would happen with inflation, but starting in 2025, when it drops abruptly and on top of that there are forecasts of a further drop next year and 5% growth, Llaryora had the opportunity to lower taxes," he stated.
He also had words for the Unión Cívica Radical and its poor performance in the elections.
"At the institutional level, UCR lost its identity and direction a long time ago. It let its voters down because it did not know how to listen to them. It positioned itself in a place that most people in Córdoba did not want," he concluded.
