The police chief announced that 'he had never seen anything so atrocious' in his years of service. The murderer is in custody

A tragic and macabre crime occurred in South Carolina, United States, where a 31-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly murdering her newborn baby. The mother, identified as An T. Ngo, gave birth at her home, but moments later committed an atrocious act, cutting the umbilical cord with a letter opener before fatally wounding her child.

The police reported that the tragedy happened on the night of Friday, March 7, around 8:30 PM, at an apartment complex located on Nations Way.

The horrendous crime and the discovery of the lifeless baby

The unfortunate event occurred at an apartment complex in the city of Easley, where the woman, after giving birth, used the same letter opener to attack the newborn, causing multiple injuries. She then put the body in a trash bag and removed it from the crime scene.

The police were alerted by Ngo's boyfriend, who was unclear if he was present during the murder. Upon arrival, the officers found the baby with severe injuries. Despite efforts to revive him, the baby was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Easley Police described the case as "horrific." Brandon Liner, the Police Chief, stated that after more than 25 years of service, he had never witnessed anything so horrifying: "To be honest, I've never seen anything so atrocious," he revealed.
