Mauricio Macri reaffirmed his support for La Libertad Avanza and warned about the risk posed by "third ways" ahead of the October 26 elections, considering that "fragmenting the opposition vote only benefits Kirchnerism."
The former president replied to a message on X from Fernando de Andreis, libertarian candidate for national deputy for the City, who compared the current situation to the 2019 PASO. "A group of angry voters voted for anything and brought back Alberto Fernández and Cristina Kirchner," De Andreis pointed out. Along the same lines, Macri stated that "most of those who voted that way still regret it."
Unity against Kirchnerism
De Andreis emphasized that the October 26 election will be "completely binary": on one side, the transformation project led by Javier Milei and PRO; on the other, "the toxic hegemony of Peronism." He also warned that the candidates of the so-called "third way" —such as Lousteau, Manes, or Ocaña— end up being functional to Kirchnerism by dividing the opposition vote.

Macri, from Europe, reinforced that idea and called for "not repeating past mistakes." His message was interpreted as a clear gesture of political support for Milei, with whom he has maintained a fluid dialogue for weeks.
Support for the economic direction and structural reforms
The former president recently met with Milei and the Minister of the Interior, Guillermo Francos, at Quinta de Olivos, where he highlighted the work of the economic team led by Luis "Toto" Caputo. "Argentina's possibilities for progress and growth are enormous, but they require significant changes and commitment to a real agenda," Macri stated.

Meanwhile, Milei appreciated the support of the PRO leader: "I'm going to take President Macri's suggestions in the best way to improve the functioning of the State."
A united front to consolidate change
With this support, Macri and Milei seal a strategic agreement: only a liberal, republican, and united front can prevent the return of Kirchnerism and consolidate the course of transformation the country needs.
