Mario Massaccesi fired at Marina Calabró and exposed a conflict with Lanata
The host revealed an uncomfortable episode from the past and questioned the journalist's attitude toward the media
Mario Massaccesi made harsh statements against Marina Calabró when recalling a situation with Jorge Lanata. In an interview for Implacables (El Nueve), after leaving Almorzando con Juana (El Trece), the journalist held nothing back and directly targeted the journalist's public figure.
According to his account, during his time at Juana Viale's table he felt comfortable and appreciated the topics discussed, such as resilience and solidarity. "It was a very nice table, we talked about topics I like and time just flew by," he said.
He also addressed the traffic accident he suffered a few weeks ago. He clarified that he was already fine, although he admitted that working the next day was very difficult: "I was a bit dazed. I was in a lot of pain, it was hard to concentrate."
Reproaches from the past and a strong personal criticism
The tension arose when the reporter asked him about his relationship with Marina Calabró. At first, Mario tried to soften his response and said he did not know her very well, although he praised her mother Coca: "Both Ileana and Marina always tell me that Coca watches us. I adore her."

However, he immediately took a firmer stance. "She's sharp, she likes to be that way and I think, at some point, she needs it. Because when you challenge her, that's what gets the most attention," he explained. In contrast, he argued that those who are calmer, like him, do not have visibility in the media.
Massaccesi went even further and revealed an attitude from the past he has not forgiven: "With Lanata, she treated me quite badly. Once, she brought him some stories and provoked me. Afterwards, Lanata tore me apart." The journalist clarified that, although he doesn't like to criticize colleagues, that situation stayed with him.
He also denied Calabró's claims, who suggested that he looked down on entertainment journalists. "I follow them," he stated emphatically.
A final reflection on criticism from others
Near the end, Mario offered a more serene reflection on how he interprets the opinions he receives, especially when they come from figures like Marina. "I learned that someone else's opinion belongs to them. It's not a lie, it's their truth. The key is whether you engage or not," he analyzed.
He concluded with an introspective phrase: "The only one I get angry with is myself, because I'm the only one I can change." This way, he made it clear that he doesn't intend to join the back-and-forth of media sparring, although his words have already left a mark.
