Marixa Balli held nothing back and explained in detail why she is angry with Iván de Pineda and Andy Kusnetzoff. The former vedette revealed the situations that led her to make a drastic decision: outright rejecting any invitation to the shows hosted by both. According to what was revealed on LAM, the origin of the conflict with the host of PH Podemos Hablar dates back a few years, when the panelist of Cortá por Lozano was dropped at the last minute from the first show and her spot ended up being taken by Flor Peña.
In the case of Iván de Pineda, the anger would be linked to a fashion show from which she was allegedly excluded at the request of the host of Pasapalabra. Although these are two unrelated episodes, both weighed enough for Marixa to completely close the door. “I was invited to the first show a few years ago and things happened that bothered me, so I said ‘forget about me’,” she explained about what happened with PH.
The host was even clearer when referring to the supposed disrespect she felt from the production of Andy Kusnetzoff's show. “I don’t like being messed with or bothered. I don’t need it, I’m not interested, I’m a woman of my word, at least, I have my word with myself,” she stated. She added that when she decides something is over, there’s no turning back, as has already happened with lifelong friendships.
Marixa also complained that, at the time, the host of PH did not contact her to apologize or at least give her some explanation. For the former vedette, that silence weighed as much as the last-minute drop. Her stance is firm and leaves no room for reinterpretation: if someone treats her poorly, she simply removes them from her radar.
The view on Iván de Pineda and Andy's response
Regarding Iván de Pineda, Marixa was more restrained, although she made it clear that she would not return to Pasapalabra due to an uncomfortable situation involving the host. “Everyone decides, we are free and owners of our decisions and actions,” she limited herself to saying. She added that she is very particular when it comes to choosing who to share the screen with: there has to be chemistry, it has to be something that fascinates her and drives her crazy. She prioritizes her life over any television invitation.
The matter didn’t end there. A reporter from Ángel de Brito confronted Andy Kusnetzoff on the street and directly asked him about Marixa Balli. The host acknowledged that he thinks she would be a great guest “for her romances, because she has a lot of personality.” However, he distanced himself from any personal responsibility regarding what happened years ago. “I have nothing to do with what happened a long time ago. I have to see as responsible, but that’s a production issue, I don’t know what happened that day,” he pointed out.
When he was told the reasons why the former vedette refuses to return to his show, Andy gave a surprising response: “If it’s as she says, she’s right.” He also clarified that at the time he apologized and that he has no other stance than that. According to him, he is not at odds with Marixa nor does he have anything personal against her. If the story is as she recounts, he believes she has every right to feel upset.
As things stand, Marixa Balli maintains her decision not to accept invitations to either PH or Pasapalabra. For her, respect and her own word are worth more than any television appearance. And both Iván de Pineda and Andy Kusnetzoff remain on the other side of that closed door, at least for now.
