Maxi López starred in one of the most emotional moments of MasterChef Celebrity Argentina. The former player said goodbye to the competition in tears in order to travel to Switzerland and accompany his partner, Daniela Christiansson, who is in an advanced stage of pregnancy.
The scene took place during the tenth gala of the reality show and moved both his fellow contestants and the judges. In addition to the announcement, López received an unexpected gift that finally broke him down live.

The reason for Maxi López's farewell
The former player came down from the studio balcony to explain his temporary departure from the show. With a choked voice, he was direct.
"My time is up. They are waiting for me, so I have to travel", he said, in reference to his family in Europe.
López will travel to Geneva to accompany Christiansson, who is expecting their second child together. The priority, he clarified, is to be present at that key moment.
The promise to return to MasterChef
Despite the farewell, Maxi made it clear that this is not a definitive goodbye. His return to the competition is already planned.
"I will come back after a few weeks to be with my MasterChef family again", he stated, looking at his fellow contestants.

The judges' gift that moved him
Before leaving, the judges prepared a special surprise for him. Donato De Santis, Damián Betular and Germán Martitegui gave him a small baby apron.
The gift, identical to those used on the show, was intended for Lando, his unborn son. The reaction was immediate.
"All of this gives me more strength to come back", he expressed, visibly moved.

Currently, Maxi lives in Geneva with Daniela Christiansson and their daughter Elle. The pregnancy led them to reorganize their family schedule.
