The meteorologist Matías Bertolotti provided his forecast for Thursday, April 3rd, detailing an abrupt change in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA). After a holiday with pleasant conditions, the arrival of a cold front is expected, which will mark a sharp drop in temperature.
According to Bertolotti, the day will start with a mild temperature, but the southern wind will advance during midday and the afternoon, causing a marked cooling. Additionally, the sky will be variable with clouds at some points of the day.

The day starts with 16°C (60.8°F), a pleasant temperature, but the advance of the cold front will bring changes. By midday, the high will reach 22°C to 23°C (71.6°F to 73.4°F), but the arrival of the southern wind will cause a rapid thermal drop.
Between the afternoon and evening, a sharp drop in temperature will be noticeable, accompanied by wind. Although it won't be concerning, it will feel cooler with leaves in the air, as the autumn season progresses.

Friday is shaping up to be the coldest day of the week. A low of 6°C (42.8°F) in the morning and a possible wind chill of 4°C (39.2°F) due to the southern wind. The high will barely reach 17°C (62.6°F), keeping the environment cool throughout the day.

Bertolotti recommends taking out the sweater and jacket to face the morning cold, especially for those going out early.
Extended forecast: the cold won't stay
Although Friday will bring the first entry of polar air of the year, the cold won't be lasting. During the weekend, the temperature will start to recover:
- Saturday, April 6th: low of 8°C (46.4°F), high of 19°C (66.2°F), with partly cloudy skies.
- Sunday, April 7th: low of 13°C (55.4°F), high of 22°C (71.6°F), with increasing cloudiness.
- Monday, April 8th: low of 15°C (59°F), high of 21°C (69.8°F), with chance of isolated drizzles.

Recommendations for the coming days
For this Thursday, a light jacket or sweater will be enough, but from Friday on, heavier clothing will be needed in the early hours of the day. Additionally, the wind may increase the feeling of cold.
Despite the temperature drop, the cold will be temporary. As is typical for this time of year, the thermal values will rise again in a few days. It is recommended to stay alert to the changes and adjust clothing according to the daily forecast.
