A high-tension episode took place in the last few hours with Matías Martin as the main figure.
The radio host ended up involved in an uncomfortable clash with Rodrigo Bar, a reporter from the show SQP, outside his program Todo pasa, which is broadcast on Urbana Play.
Everything began when the reporter approached him to ask about recent statements that Martin had made on the air during an interview with Agustín Aristarán, in which he once again referred to his conflictive relationship with Mario Pergolini.
In that context, the reporter pointed out to him that he had thrown "a few digs" at the former CQC leader, something that the host immediately denied.
"I didn't take any digs at him. He badmouthed us for 20 years. I don't want to fight", Martin replied, visibly annoyed.
However, the radio clip was already circulating strongly on social media and was generating a reaction. In that audio, the host had been much harsher when recalling his relationship with Pergolini, stating that he and other colleagues had been humiliated and mistreated for years.
The situation escalated when the journalist explained to him that he was there to give him a right of reply regarding those remarks.
It was then that Martin reacted angrily:"You put words in my mouth that I didn't say. I take responsibility for what I say on the air, but not for what you interpret", he shot back, raising his voice.
According to what Rodrigo Bar later recounted, the host began to berate both the reporter and the cameraman.
"He called us mercenaries, executioners, and he pointed at us with his finger as if we were accusing him of something", the reporter said on the air. The tension was such that, amid the shouting and commotion in the street, police officers had to intervene to calm the situation.
From the show, they explained that the intention was simply to allow him to clarify his remarks before the clip went on the air, but that Martin interpreted the presence of the crew as a deliberate attempt to pit him against Pergolini.
Back in the studio, Pía Shaw provided context about the background of the host's anger with Yanina Latorre's team. As she explained, there would be two main reasons: on one hand, the media dissemination of details about his separation from Victoria De Masi, and on the other, the conflict that involved his son Luca Martin after a question asked on the show, which led to a public dispute with Chiche Gelblung.
