The legal situation of Mauro Icardi took a decisive turn in the last few hours. The forward made the payment of the child support settlement corresponding to the case that he has with Wanda Nara and, with that move, he managed to unblock a series of court measures that were directly affecting him.
The information was confirmed on DDM, where journalist Guido Záffora stated: "This changes everything, Mauro Icardi has just paid the child support settlement today". Until that moment, the footballer was officially listed in the child support debtors registry, a situation that was complicating both his personal and professional schedule.
Although the exact amount was not officially disclosed, it emerged that the figure would be around 10,000 dollars, although there was no precise confirmation from the judicial sphere. What is certain is that the payment correplied to a settlement previously approved by the courts and allowed his legal status to be substantially modified.
El futbolista no aportaba a sus hijas desde hace casi un año
It should be remembered that in August Civil Court No.106 had ordered a garnishment of 110,000 dollars on Icardi's stake in Asociación Civil La Isla S.A. due to repeated noncompliance with child support payments. Around 3,500 dollars in interest and court costs were added to that amount, which further aggravated his situation.
Among the sanctions imposed was a travel ban, a measure that completely restricted his movements. However, the recent payment made it possible to lift those restrictions and granted him a benefit that surprised even those who follow the case closely: the possibility of traveling without hindrance at a key stage of the calendar.
What was the benefit that Mauro Icardi obtained?
Mauro Icardi llegará a la Argentina el próximo lunes 22 de diciembre Thanks to the regularization of the debt, the courts authorized Icardi to fulfill personal and professional commitments that until a few days ago seemed unfeasible. The footballer is scheduled to arrive in Argentina next Monday, December 22, after having requested special permission from Galatasaray to spend a few days with his family before resuming competition in Türkiye.
According to reports, the forward will have to return to the European country before the end of the year to rejoin his team and continue the season, a factor that would have been decisive for the courts to consider lifting the restrictions. "There is a reason for all this and it is that Icardi has to return to Türkiye before the end of the year", they emphasized on the television show.
