The Olive Month will offer gastronomic, cultural, and tourist experiences to highlight the value of olive production in Mendoza.

The Mendoza Tourism Board officially presented a new edition of the Olive Month, an initiative aimed at strengthening the olive identity of Mendoza through cultural, gastronomic, recreational, and tourist proposals in various locations throughout the province.

The agenda will run until June 13 and will include:

  • olive oil tastings

  • guided tours

  • cooking classes

  • biking through olive groves

  • wellness experiences

  • gastronomic contests

  • open oil mills

  • cultural events

This proposal is part of the Mendoza Oliva Bien program, aimed at positioning the province as one of the major olive destinations in the country.

The olive oil from Mendoza will be the star throughout the month

The main objective of the event is to bring both tourists and locals closer to the world of olives from different perspectives:

  • gastronomy

  • landscape

  • well-being

  • heritage

  • production

  • regional culture

Throughout the month, participating restaurants and open oil mills will feature the star product: Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) produced in Mendoza.

Additionally, training sessions and activities will be developed to enhance knowledge about sensory analysis, pairings, and olive oil culture.

Mendoza aims to establish itself as an olive and gastronomic destination

The province has been strongly promoting tourism linked to regional products and authentic gastronomic experiences.

The Olive Month specifically aims to integrate:

  • agricultural production

  • tourism

  • gastronomy

  • regional economies

  • cultural heritage

With this strategy, Mendoza seeks to reinforce its positioning not only as the capital of Argentine wine but also as one of the most important olive regions in the country.

The highlighted activities of the Olive Month

Among the most important proposals are:

  • the “Mendoza and the Soul of the Olive” Photography Contest

  • the gastronomic contest “Mendoza Cooks with EVOO”

  • guided tours in the Olive Walk

  • cooking classes

  • biking through olive groves

  • yoga experiences

  • tastings and sensory analysis

There will also be:

III Young Olive Oil Tasters Contest

The event will take place on June 12 at the “Juanita Vera” Cultural House in Lavalle and will aim to encourage technical knowledge about Mendoza's EVOO among new generations.

The Envero Festival will close the Olive Month

The activities will culminate on June 13 with the 2026 Envero Festival, which will take place in Lavalle.

The day will combine:

  • gastronomy

  • music

  • tastings

  • cultural experiences

  • activities related to olives

The festival has established itself in recent years as one of the most important events related to Mendoza's olive culture.

Mendoza strengthens its regional identity through olives
