Mendoza advances in its positioning as a destination of excellence for tourism and production. In a strategic mission carried out in Panama, the province presented its wine tourism, cultural, and commercial offerings through a joint action between Ente Mendoza Turismo (Emetur), ProMendoza, Copa Airlines, and the Argentine Embassy.
The main objective of the initiative was to strengthen economic and tourism ties, consolidating Mendoza's image as an international benchmark in quality, connectivity, and sustainable development.
The delegation was led by the president of Emetur, Gabriela Testa, together with the head of ProMendoza, Patricia Giménez, and other institutional representatives, tourism operators, and wineries. Meanwhile, Sandra Pitta and Leopoldo Garade from the Argentine Embassy participated, accompanying the various promotional activities.

"Wine Tasting Mendoza": wine, culture, and business
The most prominent event was Wine Tasting Mendoza, which brought together more than 75 guests from the Panamanian tourism, commercial, and media sectors. The event offered an immersive experience with high-end wines, regional cuisine, and a tango show that reflected Argentine identity.
The proposal combined tasting, culture, and business opportunities, successfully capturing the attention of importers, distributors, and specialized journalists. This type of activity—organized by ProMendoza, Emetur, and the Argentine Embassy—strengthens the link between Mendoza's wine tourism and the Central American market.
Air connectivity and business opportunities
During the mission, Gabriela Testa presented Mendoza's main tourist attractions, highlighting the direct air connectivity with Panama through Copa Airlines, which for eight years has connected both destinations with a six-hour flight.
"Panama is part of the international markets with which Mendoza has been working for some time; we carry out at least two actions per year in this country to maintain an active presence," Testa stated.

In this context, Copa Airlines announced a promotional fare of US$666 (round trip) for Panamanian tourists interested in visiting the province. In addition, local operators such as Aymará, Nites, and Distinto held B2B meetings with Panamanian travel agents to promote business agreements and new tourist routes.
Mendoza, showcase of Argentine tourism and production
The mission concluded with a meeting between Emetur authorities and Copa Airlines executives, led by Diego Bermúdez Parra, Director of International Sales, and Nathalie Mora, Sales Manager. There, joint strategies were outlined to continue promoting Mendoza as a preferred destination in Central America.
With this initiative, the province reaffirms its leadership as a tourism and export hub, expanding the reach of its flagship products—such as wine—and consolidating Marca Mendoza as a synonym for quality, nature, and hospitality.
