A historic opportunity to regain international prestige. That is what the shift undertaken by President Javier Milei in foreign policy represents. His participation in the "American Patriots" gala, organized by Donald Trump at Mar-A-Lago, was not just a symbolic gesture: it was the beginning of a diplomatic strategy that can reposition Argentina on the global map as a serious, reliable actor aligned with the values of the free world.
For years, Kirchnerism built a network of alliances with authoritarian governments such as those of Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, and Nicaragua. Those relationships not only tarnished our country's image, but also isolated us from the liberal democracies that dominate the global economy. Milei, meanwhile, seeks to put an end to that dark cycle with an agenda of integration into the Western order, based on free trade, strategic cooperation, and the defense of freedom.
