President Javier Milei once again praised his American counterpart Donald Trump and stated that the policies promoted by Washington had a direct impact on the political, economic, and social stability of Argentina. During an extensive interview on Neura, the president maintained that American support was crucial in sustaining the libertarian economic program against the attempts at destabilization that, he claimed, his government faced during 2025.
“The quality of life in Argentina, thanks to Trump, has improved enormously,” Milei asserted, linking the United States' hardening stance against the Venezuelan regime and other regional structures with the weakening of political and operational financing of sectors that, he expressed, sought to destabilize his administration.

“By cutting off the funding from Venezuela, a group of bastards here who wanted to stage a coup stopped being financed,” Milei declared, referring to opposition sectors that, he alleged, sought to destabilize his administration through speculative attacks on the currency and political pressure on the economic program. The President also stated that the new regional scenario allowed for the reinforcement of internal security and claimed that “Cuban spies have stopped entering” the country.
Milei had previously accused opposition sectors, businessmen, and media of having promoted an attempted coup during the electoral year of 2025, especially after the victory of Manuel Adorni in the legislative elections in Buenos Aires. He explained that international support and the solidity of the fiscal program were crucial in avoiding a currency and financial crisis.
In another part of the conversation, the Argentine president enthusiastically praised Trump’s international leadership and asserted that the Republican managed to change the global scenario in record time. “What Trump is doing is extraordinary; he closed eight global conflicts. He is Gardel with an electric guitar,” Milei stated, using one of the most commented phrases from the interview. He also maintained that Washington's hardening against Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran changed the international geopolitical balance and weakened networks of financing and political operations in Latin America.

The President also highlighted U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, whom he described as “a genius” for the international strategy deployed against the advances of Russia and China. “Trump said: ‘There are three blocks: one responding to Russia, one responding to China, and America. America for Americans’,” Milei recounted while explaining the geopolitical vision that, he claimed, currently guides U.S. foreign policy.
Finally, the president stated that the new international context represents a historic opportunity for Argentina, especially due to the country's energy and mining potential. He explained that the world will increasingly demand energy security and strategic minerals, sectors where the government seeks to position Argentina as a central player in the new global economy.
