Milei sweeps through Mendoza: La Libertad Avanza quadruples the local ruling party
President Javier Milei's party leads with an impressive advantage over the rest of the political forces
A recent survey conducted by DC Consultores in the province of Mendoza gave La Libertad Avanza, the party of President Javier Milei, an impressive advantage over the rest of the political forces.
With 56.2% voting intention, the ruling party's bloc more than quadruples Cambia Mendoza, the local coalition that governs the province and appears second with just 13.5%.
The survey, which was carried out between July 4 and 6 on a total of 920 cases and with a margin of error of +/- 2.5%, confirms the solid support that the President keeps in one of the most anti-Kirchnerist provinces in the country. Together with Córdoba, Mendoza was key in the 2023 runoff, when Milei comfortably surpassed 70% of the votes against the Kirchnerist candidate Sergio Massa.

In this new poll, the consolidation of the ruling party is not limited only to the party level. It also extends to the figure of the Minister of Defense, Luis Petri, who leads individual voting intention with 51.4%.
Petri, a native of Mendoza and former running mate of Patricia Bullrich, now Minister of National Security, was one of the key additions to the libertarian cabinet after last year's elections. His high approval rating in the province positions him as a central figure ahead of the legislative elections on October 26, when Mendoza will renew five seats in the Chamber of Deputies.
This fact becomes even more relevant considering that Petri was defeated by Alfredo Cornejo in the 2023 gubernatorial primary, which shows the strong realignment of the provincial political landscape in just one year. Today, Cambia Mendoza, the label that brought Cornejo back to the governorship, is far behind the national ruling party.

In the candidate ranking, behind Petri are the Radical Julio Cobos (14.1%), the Kirchnerist Peronist Anabel Fernández Sagasti (12.9%), and Emir Félix, from non-K Peronism (11.7%). Much further behind are Mario Vadillo (3.9%) and the undecided (6%).

The survey also included a ranking of leaders' images, both national and provincial. Milei, with 65.3%, comfortably leads among national figures, while Petri, with 62.5%, heads the local list. This double preference demonstrates a harmony between the Mendoza electorate and the direction proposed by the President at the national level.
Although the numbers correspond to a preliminary measurement, the scenario seems to be consolidating in favor of the ruling party. Support for Milei's ideas not only remains firm, but continues to expand, even in districts historically dominated by other forces.
