The presidential message focused on the attitude of the squad led by Lionel Scaloni, who fought fiercely in the match until the last minutes and came close to retaining the title won four years ago. After completing 90 minutes without breaking the tie, Spain managed to score during extra time and secured a narrow victory.
Despite the sporting blow, Milei avoided any reproach and acknowledged the journey made by the Argentine national team during Scaloni's cycle.
