Since Netflix announced its release schedule, one production in particular began to have a strong impact both on the public and on show business. This is Perfect: The Voice of Silvina Luna, the documentary that reconstructs the model's story from an intimate, first-person perspective
.
This Thursday, April 9, the platform released the first official trailer and left everyone shocked. The preview includes unpublished images recorded by Silvina Luna herself during the most difficult moments of her illness, in the midst of dialysis sessions and medical treatments for
her kidney failure.
As can be seen in the progress shared on social networks, the project was initiated by Silvina herself with the objective of telling her truth without intermediaries.
“Perfect: Silvina Luna's voice is a documentary started by herself so that the world would hear her truth. It reveals, from its privacy, a medical, judicial and cultural battle against social orders and aesthetic violence,” they said from Netflix
.
The production proposes a crude journey that exposes the consequences of medical malpractice, but also focuses on the aesthetic demands faced by the industry.
One of the most shocking moments in the trailer is when Silvina herself appears in the foreground, recording herself with her cell phone from a hospital bed. “Hello, how are you? Well, I'm on dialysis... this machine works like a filter for my kidney, it's helping me get out of this situation,” she can be heard saying, as she shows the process she was undergoing
.
In another fragment, it also details the procedure for placing a PIC to receive intravenous medication, showing the level of physical deterioration she was going through. These scenes, full of cruelty, turn the documentary into a direct and unfiltered testimony about the illness he went through
for years.
In addition to the original material, the series will feature the participation of an actress who will play Silvina at different stages of her life, especially in the run-up to the intervention performed by Aníbal Lotocki.
His brother, Ezequiel Luna, and his friend Bárbara Corbalán will also provide their eyes, who closely followed the process and explain how the decision to document everything was born.
