The Ed Gein Case
Ed Gein, born in Wisconsin in 1906, inspired iconic films such as The Silence of the Lambs and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. His obsession with the bodies of his victims and his macabre behavior made him one of the most notorious murderers of the twentieth century.
The trailer shows disturbing scenes, including moments where Gein dances in a dress and a mask made from his mother's face.
Cast and Production
Charlie Hunnam portrays Gein, accompanied by Laurie Metcalf and Suzanna Son. Other actors completing the cast are Tom Hollander, Vicky Krieps, Olivia Williams, Lesley Manville, Joey Pollari, Charlie Hall, and Tyler Jacob Moore.
The series was created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. It aims to show both the criminal's macabre side and certain human aspects of his personality.
Behind the Scenes
Charlie Hunnam told Variety that playing Gein was challenging: "I had nightmares before I started. Once I got into character, it was easier," he commented. He also revealed that while researching Gein, he realized how despicable some of his actions were.

The actor added that the series offers a varied perspective: "The macabre is present, but something human is also seen. It's not tenderness, but there's a side that allows us to understand his humanity," he stated.
