Nico Occhiato and Marcelo Tinelli shared the screen on Luzu TV to revive the spirit of Showmatch in a streaming format. The special, titled "Nadie dice match," aired on Sunday night and gathered over 240,000 live viewers, a record for the platform.

The proposal was born spontaneously after Tinelli visited Occhiato's show. Both decided to try a format that combined the codes of 90s television with the current dynamics of streaming. The result was a sort of pilot test that could anticipate a more stable incorporation of the historical host into Luzu.

The two hosts entered the studio through the channel's hallways singing "Moscato, pizza y fainá," the song by Memphis La Blusera that accompanied Videomatch for years. They were joined by part of the team from Nadie dice nada. Once inside, they continued dancing for a few minutes until Occhiato invited Tinelli to sit down. Nico was in the middle, Marcelo on the right, and comedian Martín Garabal on the left.

"Good morning, good afternoon..." Occhiato started, giving Tinelli the cue for his classic "Good night, America." From the very first minutes, there were contrasts about how to host a show. Tinelli pointed out the correct way to introduce the jury, while Occhiato responded that in streaming, things are more relaxed.

Between Tradition and the Informality of Streaming

The experienced host also jokingly advised him to avoid showing certain internal situations, such as the delay of two jury members. Occhiato replied clearly: "Here we lay it all out." This difference in styles was a constant throughout the night and generated several moments of laughter.

There was also room to parody Caiga quien caiga, the historic competitor of Videomatch. At Garabal's suggestion, the three put on sunglasses, made serious faces, and one of the themes from Mario Pergolini's show played. They completed the homage dressed in suits.

"30 seconds of fame" returned with a breakdancer, a Ricky Martin impersonator, and a Valeria Lynch imitator. The jury included Ángela Torres, Roberto Peña, Diego Pérez, Martín "Trinche" Dardik, and Marcos Giles. "The joke show" also returned with Roberto Peña, Larry de Clay, Sergio el Diariero, Trinche, and Alacrán.

At the end, Occhiato acknowledged: "This was spectacular, very nice, a lot of people supporting us, I am flying, another dream I fulfill with Luzu." Tinelli agreed with the positive tone: "It was beautiful for all of us to live this moment, I love that we are recreating, between you and us, something that was very nice, I feel at home here at Luzu."

Audience Record and Debate on Social Media

The program surpassed 240,000 simultaneous viewers in its first minutes and became a trend on social media. The comments were varied: some celebrated the mix of two such different styles, while others considered the proposal unnecessary or out of place.

The concrete fact is that the night made it clear that the crossover between classic television and streaming still generates interest. The pilot test of "Nadie dice match" functioned as a bridge between generations and as a nod to a format that marked Argentine humor for years.
