What Pokémon Pokopia is about
Pokémon Pokopia is a life simulator for 1 to 4 players. The game begins in a world in ruins where humans and Pokémon have disappeared. The objective is to rebuild the environment, create habitats, and attract creatures: as the environment improves, Pokémon begin to reappear.
The main character is a customizable human Ditto. Throughout the game, it can learn moves from allied Pokémon to interact with the world.
Moves, energy, and dynamic cycle
Among the abilities shown are Water Gun for watering, Leafage for creating habitats, and Cut for gathering materials. Each action consumes PP.
Energy is recovered by eating foods such as berries. In addition, the day/night cycle is synchronized with the console's real-time clock. The weather is dynamic and is caused randomly; this affects the environment and the appearance of creatures.
Crafting, construction, and specialties
The gameplay goes in depth into crafting at workbenches. Multiple items can be created if the necessary materials are available.
Storage boxes allow players to use resources directly from the shared inventory. There are also Pokémon "requests" that unlock recipes and rewards.

The construction system is block by block and allows players to add electricity, generators, and lighting. There are also Ditto transformations, such as Lapras for sailing and Dragonite for gliding.
Photo mode and customization
The game incorporates a photo mode integrated into the Pokédex. It includes selfies, filters, frames, and expressions. Customization extends to furniture, aesthetic changes, and interior design.
