The Ministry of Health of the Nation ordered a strategic reorganization of the National Administration of Laboratories and Institutes of Health (ANLIS) Dr. Carlos G. Malbrán. Minister Mario Lugones confirmed that the measure seeks to eliminate overlapping competencies and structural overdimensioning. The decision is based on the low or no activity of certain organizations and the need to guarantee the sustainability of the sector

The reform involves the merger of the National Center for Diagnosis and Research in Endemo-Epidemics (CEDIE) with the "Dr. Mario Fatala Chaben" Institute. According to the health portfolio, CEDIE research was already within the competence of the Chaben Institute. The objective is to eliminate duplicate hierarchical positions and avoid duplication of publicly funded investigations.
In addition, the National Center for Biological Quality Control (CNCCB) will be integrated into the National Institute for the Production of Biologics (INPB). This union seeks to institutionalize an operational synergy under the current principles of administrative rationalization.

Dissolution of the National Center for Nutritional Research
The National Government also decided to dissolve the CNIN, after detecting that the body was no longer fulfilling its main function of health surveillance.
Its current iodine-salt control tasks are the responsibility of INAL, dependent on the ANMAT. This measure reduces oversizing without affecting the continuity of the substantive functions of the health system.
Lugones stressed that the result will be a more modern and efficient Malbrán, oriented to current health challenges. The restructuring reflects the priority that public resources be directed to areas with the greatest health impact. The changes do not alter the institution's founding objectives or its scientific-technical capabilities
