Santoro's positioning comes after the Buenos Aires deputy from La Libertad Avanza, Agustín Romo, presented a project to charge for healthcare and university studies for foreigners without permanent residency in the province of Buenos Aires.
The initiative arose after the viralization of posts from foreign students studying in the country, who celebrated the defeat with mockery towards Argentina, its national symbols, and the Malvinas Cause.
Far from questioning those behaviors, Santoro targeted those who promote restrictions on foreigners' access to public services funded by Argentine money.
