The level of arrears at Banco Nación recorded a sharp decline during August and fell by 22% compared to July, according to preliminary data revealed by the media outlet La Nación.
Specifically, the number of cases dropped from 57,306 in July to 44,708 in August, representing a reduction of 12,598 cases in just one month.
The trend indicates a significant decrease in the levels of arrears at the institution and constitutes one of the main indicators regarding the credit situation of its clients during the last month. In percentage terms, the variation between July and August was -22%.

The reduction occurred while Banco Nación continues to make significant progress with a large volume of refinancings for its clients. This Monday, the institution published a statement informing that since the beginning of the year, it has refinanced 102,505 operations corresponding to 89,608 clients, for a total amount of $476.3 billion.
“In line with the consolidation of private credit and the normalization of the financial system, Banco Nación has refinanced 102,505 operations corresponding to 89,608 clients since the beginning of the year, for a total amount of $476.3 billion,” the bank reported.
Of the total refinanced, 64,249 operations corresponded to users who were in arrears, for a total amount of $322.6 billion. This represents the majority of the operations carried out by the institution within this process.

Additionally, Banco Nación detailed that 36,424 transactions corresponded to refinancings of credit cards in arrears, totaling $129.6 billion. This was supplemented by another 1,832 operations corresponding to arrears for $24.1 billion.
The average ticket for the refinancing operations reached $4.6 million, according to the information released by the institution.
Thus, while preliminary data shows a sharp decline in Banco Nación's arrears in August, the institution reported that it has already refinanced $476.3 billion through 102,505 operations, as part of the normalization process of the financial system indicated by the bank itself.
