President Javier Milei spoke on Monday in a national broadcast to present the 2026 Budget that he sent to the National Congress, in a historic event that consolidated the path of fiscal order and growth with freedom. The message was recorded in the White Hall of the Casa Rosada during the afternoon, accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, the presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, and the deputy José Luis Espert.
From the outset, Milei emphasized politics and warned: "Argentina's future depends on the people and politicians committing to fiscal order. If we fail, we'll fall back into the pit of uncontrolled inflation and the destruction of all expectations in the country". The President stressed that this budget was "the first in Argentine history to include the Reciprocal Obligations Extinction Regime, to continue rebuilding the relationship between the national government and the provinces".
The head of state maintained that the commitment to deep reforms required working "side by side with governors, deputies, and senators who want a different Argentina".

Next, Milei sent a message to the public. "The hardest years to face were the first ones. The worst is over. We want to thank Argentinians for the tremendous support they've shown throughout this first period", he stated. He reinforced: "Argentinians are the protagonists of this process; they're the ones who have undertaken the arduous path of growth and embraced the ideas of freedom. Argentinians' solve is heroic, and that's why we thank you".
The head of state emphasized that "fiscal order and balance are the difference between working for a better future or living trapped in a stormy and decaying present". He added: "It's taken us a lot to get here. We've all made enormous efforts to get out of the pit we were in when we took office. Although the path is arduous, the direction is the right one. If we don't finish the process of change we've started, we'll have thrown away all the effort we've made".
