Which banks and wallets offer reimbursements in public transportation

Various financial institutions are adding promotions to reduce daily travel expenses. Here are the main options available during July 2026:

• Cuenta DNI (Banco Provincia): 40% reimbursement for teenagers

• Mercado Pago: 70% reimbursement with QR code

• Santander and MODO: up to 100% reimbursement

• MODO: 50% extra in public transportation

• Naranja X: 50% reimbursement on buses, subway, and tolls

• Banco Macro and Modo: 20% reimbursement with minimum balance

Cuenta DNI: 40% reimbursement for teenagers in the AMBA

Cuenta DNI, from Banco Provincia, grants a 40% reimbursement for teenagers aged 13 to 17 on subways, Premetro, and participating buses in the AMBA.

The benefit applies when paying with NFC from a mobile phone, with the associated debit card, and on devices with the Android system. It is available every day, with a cap of $15,000 per month per person.

Mercado Pago: 70% reimbursement with QR code

Mercado Pago offers a 70% reimbursement on buses and subways when paying with a QR code. The refund cap is $10,000 and the credit is processed within 72 business hours.

This promotion is valid until July 31, 2026.

Santander and MODO: up to 100% reimbursement in public transportation

The alliance between Santander and MODO allows access to up to 100% reimbursement on buses and subways through QR Transport and funds in the Santander account.

The monthly cap is $8,000 and the promotion extends until August 31, 2026.

MODO: 50% extra reimbursement in public transportation

MODO, independently, offers a 50% extra reimbursement for those paying with QR Transport. The monthly cap is $5,000 per user.

The benefit is valid until July 31 and can be combined with other promotions, according to each entity's conditions.

Naranja X: discounts on buses, subway, and tolls

Naranja X offers two reimbursement options. For buses, subways, and tolls, it grants a 50% reimbursement when paying with Visa Naranja X + NFC, between July 1 and July 31.

For subway trips, it adds the same percentage of refund when paying with QR from the app, using funds in the account, also until July 31.

Banco Macro and Modo: 20% reimbursement with minimum balance

Banco Macro and Modo offer a 20% reimbursement when paying with QR, on the condition of maintaining a minimum balance of $1,200 in the account.

The promotion was announced by Agencia Noticias Argentinas and was published in June 2026.

Benefits for long-distance travel

Banco Provincia allows financing the purchase of bus tickets in 4 and 6 interest-free installments with Visa or Mastercard, until August 31.

Meanwhile, Plataforma 10 (P10) and MODO offer a 10% discount on online purchases when paying with QR from the bank or MODO app, between June 9 and July 1.
