The governor led the opening of key sections of Provincial Route 113, financed with mining funds, which will benefit thousands of residents
The governor of Catamarca, Raúl Jalil, inaugurated two major road projects for Andalgalá this Friday. Accompanied by Mayor Eduardo Córdoba and Department Senator Horacio Gutiérrez, he officially presented the paving of 6.6 kilometers (4.1 miles) on the Chaquiago–El Potrero section and another 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) on the Chaquiago–Choya route.
Both projects were financed with resources from mining activity, which reinforces the role of this sector in the growth and modernization of the province's infrastructure. Jalil emphasized that this is a concrete example of how contributions from the sector can translate into direct improvements to residents' quality of life.
The paved sections improve connectivity in the southern part of the departmental capital and address a longstanding demand from the residents of Andalgalá. Residents, provincial and local authorities attended the event, which was considered a day of great significance for the region.
