In an event led by the Minister of Security, Juan Pablo Quinteros, on Monday the new authorities of the top leadership of the Police of the Province of Córdoba were sworn in on the esplanade of the Police Headquarters.
During the ceremony, Commissioner General Marcelo Marín was appointed Chief of Police; Commissioner General Alberto Bietti took office as Deputy Chief for the Capital; Commissioner General Iván Rey as Deputy Chief for the Interior; and Commissioner General Federico Cisnero continues in his role as Administrative Deputy Chief of the force.
At the time of the swearing-in, Minister Quinteros praised the leadership profile of the new Chief of Police and his focus on strengthening public security management.

"Marcelo Marín is an extraordinary police officer, with almost thirty-five years of seniority, an extensive career, experience, and broad professionalism, with a personal hallmark and a deep vocation for service," Quinteros said.
Change of authorities in Córdoba Police
It should be noted that the changes respond to an orderly and periodic replacement process, driven by the Ministry of Security, in line with institutional practices and with the aim of strengthening the leadership and functioning of Córdoba Police.
In this regard, Minister Quinteros stated that the selection of the new top leadership of the police is made "based on a line of continuity."

"Marín represents the continuity of an ethical Police, attached to the law and committed to the people of Córdoba," he maintained.
He also emphasized that in Córdoba Police "changes and decisions are not made at random, they respond to a logic of construction, planning, and security for Córdoba."
For his part, the brand-new Chief Marín thanked the support of the governor and the Minister of Security, and he dedicated heartfelt words to his predecessor, highlighting that his leadership will provide continuity to the previous administration.
Statements by Marín, new Chief of Córdoba Police
In this context, he stressed that the police institution is going through a "historic moment and a paradigm shift" in terms of equipment, support, and assistance.
"For those of us who, as of today, have the responsibility of leading this force, it is extremely significant," Marín said when referring to the investments promoted by the provincial administration.
Meanwhile, the new chief addressed the members of the forces and called on them to "continue along the path of good, the path marked by legislation and that allows society to trust us. For that we must be empathetic, responsible, and extremely judicious at the time of acting."
At the same event, recognition and thanks were given to Commissioner General Leonardo Gutiérrez, who completed his term as Chief of Police.
The work and career of Commissioner General Antonio Urquiza, who served as Deputy Chief for the Interior, were also highlighted.
In his speech, Gutiérrez stated that he is concluding his stage as Chief of Police with the satisfaction of having honored the uniform and of carrying with him the lessons that the role left him.
He also thanked Minister Quinteros and dedicated a few words to the members of the Force: "Thank you to every man and every woman of the Police of the Province of Córdoba, who did everything possible so that I could be here."
