A stunning stock market collapse shook the financial market of the United Kingdom: shares of the Israeli operator Navitas Petroleum plummeted a dramatic -2.97%, while the stocks of its British partner, Rockhopper Exploration, suffered a catastrophic drop of -5.59%. This true financial bloodbath erupted immediately as a direct consequence of the relentless sanctions driven by President Javier Milei to irreversibly block those attempting to operate with British colonial licenses in our Falkland Islands.

The panic among international investors reflects the end of impunity: for the first time in decades of Kirchnerist diplomatic capitulation, Argentina is using the weight of its law and market realism to inflict direct and immediate economic damage on foreign looters.

This sharp decline in stocks adds to the severe criminal complaint filed by the Government of Freedom against Navitas Petroleum, its subsidiaries, partners, and executives, formally accusing them of violating national legislation by exploiting resources on a continental shelf that exclusively belongs to Argentines.

Investors have taken note that the controversial Sea Lion project —where Navitas Petroleum holds 65% and Rockhopper Exploration the remaining 35%— has become a highly risky political and financial asset. The market assumes the unfeasibility of a deep-water development that contemplates a colossal investment of US$ 2.2 billion and an ambitious goal of extracting 50,000 barrels of crude daily starting in 2028, as it is surrounded by a sovereign state determined to use all its deterrent power.

The origin of this financial debacle was the forceful message in national broadcast delivered by the head of state, where he buried the passivity of the past and signed Decree 868/2026 to expedite the penalties of Law 26.659.

Under the premise that "national security is not only the physical defense of our territory; it is what ensures the survival and prosperity of the nation over time", the regulation places the Foreign Ministry as the enforcing authority, shortens sanctioning deadlines, and extends commercial disqualification jointly over suppliers, directors, and shareholders.

President Javier Milei posed a hard free-market dilemma to the world's boards: "Those who operate in our islands behind the back of the Argentine government will have to choose between an illegal bet in a disputed territory and a profitable and safe operation in a sovereign country with clear rules and predictability. You cannot do both".

This relentless economic suffocation strategy has already completely isolated British development by forcing the surrender of the three largest oil service companies in the world. The global number one, SLB (Schlumberger, valued at over USD 85 billion), the equipment giant Baker Hughes (worth over USD 63 billion and operating 32 active platforms in the country as of May), and the powerful Halliburton (with a market capitalization of USD 33 billion and whose historic global CEO was Richard Cheney), confirmed in writing that they will not participate in any project in the islands to preserve their multibillion-dollar businesses in the energy giant Vaca Muerta.

Cornered by the RIGI regime and the economic normalization of a country in full growth, multinationals chose Argentine legality over a colonial adventure that amounts to just 1% of Neuquén's geological wealth.

Finally, the siege on the usurpers tightens even further with the confirmation, on September 8, 2026, of the initiation of sanctioning proceedings against 15 additional subjects who violated Law 26.659. These new files add to the 45 already opened by the libertarian administration, reaching a total of 60 individuals and legal entities under the state's scrutiny. While the Foreign Ministry has already sent nearly 180 discouragement letters to companies and over 29 countries, the stock market collapse in London demonstrates that the forces of heaven and the right to freedom have brought pirate arrogance in the South Atlantic to its knees.
