When compared to the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which is also reported monthly by the agency, it can be seen that workers' incomes outpaced inflation for the same period, which stood at 1.9%.
According to the report released by INDEC on Thursday, September 25, in the registered private sector, salaries rose by 2.2% in the month, with a year-on-year variation of 39.8% and a cumulative increase of 16.2% so far in 2025.

In the public sector, registered wages recorded an improvement of 2.3% in July, reaching a year-on-year increase of 41.3% and a cumulative increase of 19.1% in the first seven months of the year.
Meanwhile, in the unregistered private sector, a monthly increase of 3.6% was recorded. In year-on-year terms, the increase was 139.7%, while the cumulative increase between January and July reached 57.9%.

In July, registered wages, both in the private and public sectors, showed a 2.2% increase, thus outpacing the month's inflation, which stood at 1.9%, according to the month-on-month variation.
When looking at the year-on-year comparison, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 36.6%, while registered wages grew by 40.3%. Regarding the cumulative increase from January to July 2025, INDEC reported a 17.3% increase in the CPI compared to a 23.7% increase in workers' wages, which outpaced price increases.
