The National Meteorological Service has forecast a significant drop in temperature for the City of Buenos Aires over the weekend. After a cool Friday, the cold air will intensify in the early hours of Saturday, August 22, when the lowest minimum of the week is expected.
According to the official forecast, that day the temperature will drop to 3 degrees, with a maximum of 14 degrees. No rain is expected and the sky will remain mostly clear. The southwest wind, blowing between 7 and 22 kilometers per hour, may make the wind chill feel even lower during the morning.
Friday the 21st already started with cool values: a minimum of 6 degrees and a maximum of 12. Saturday marks the peak of the cold, while Sunday sees a slight rise in the minimum to 4 degrees and the maximum at 13 degrees. In all three days, conditions remain stable, with no precipitation and skies ranging from clear to partly cloudy.
The early hours of Saturday will be the coldest moment. Those who need to wake up early or travel should dress warmly, as the southwest wind enhances the feeling of cold. Nevertheless, the sun will be present and no downpours are expected to complicate the weekend.
