This Monday, news emerged that generated great concern in the Argentine journalism community: Samuel "Chiche" Gelblung, the iconic 82-year-old host, was admitted to intensive care after suffering a health crisis.
According to the details that surfaced, his current condition is linked to an injury on his face that the journalist sustained days earlier at home. The family became alarmed by the progression of that injury, especially in the area around his left eye, and decided to take him to a medical emergency room.
Chiche had already experienced a complicated episode less than a month ago. On April 20, he was admitted to the Sanatorio Los Arcos, where two stents were placed in one of his legs. Despite the doctors' recommendations to rest, the host decided to quickly return to his work routine.
Health Background
At that time, Gelblung himself stated on the LAM program that he felt fine and could not stop working. "I'm perfect," he assured then, although he acknowledged that doctors always recommend resting more.

This new health crisis occurs just a few weeks after that intervention. According to journalist Pia Shaw on A la Barbarossa, the blow to his face worried his loved ones, but Chiche continued with his usual activities until his condition worsened in recent hours.
The doctors are conducting various evaluations to accurately determine his current condition. The positive aspect is that the journalist is awake, alert, and in contact with his surroundings through text messages, even late into the night.
The injury to his face, resulting from a domestic accident, is the main focus of attention because it could have led to this new health issue.
