San Lorenzo is going through a severe economic crisis. The audit conducted by the current management confirms that the club has a debt exceeding 30 million dollars. The report was officially presented this Friday.

The audit reveals that the club faces 183 legal cases. Additionally, San Lorenzo must deal with liens and inhibitions. All this is a consequence of previous poor management, which ended in December 2023.

San Lorenzo reports that on March 15, 2024, a legal and accounting audit was commissioned to the firms Cangueiro Ruiz Abogados and Quian y Asociados to assess the club's status; the results are already in the hands of the current government; the process faced setbacks and another law firm was added to obtain a second report; the audit confirms multiple debts faced by the club, exceeding 30 million dollars, due to previous mismanagement; the reports will be sent to the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee for analysis and opinion; the audit doesn't solve the economic problems, but the current management is committed to protecting San Lorenzo and its assets; it is a delicate situation, but necessary decisions will be made for the club's well-being.

The commitment of the new management

The president, Marcelo Moretti, promised to work to solve the situation. He assured that, month by month, liens and inhibitions are being lifted. "This is a long road, but we're going to walk it with responsibility," he said on his social media.

The report will be presented to the Board of Directors and the Ethics Tribunal to evaluate the necessary sanctions. The new management seeks to protect the club's assets and clean up its finances.
