Sony confirmed the January 2026 games for PS Plus Essential

PlayStation Plus kicks off 2026 with a varied offering for subscribers to the Essential plan, which already has the games included for January confirmed.

Sony has made official the list of titles that can be downloaded at no cost starting on Tuesday, January 6, with options for both PS5 and PS4.

Which games are coming to PS Plus Essential in January 2026

Users at the Essential tier will be able to claim three video games during the first month of the year.

All the titles will be available on PS5, while two of them will also have a version for PS4. The games can be added to the library until Monday, February 2, 2026.

• Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed (PS5 and PS4)

A start to the year with speed, classics, and survival

Need for Speed Unbound offers an arcade driving experience with intense races, where police chases and risk-taking are key.

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed brings back a classic with a remastered version. It combines action and platforming in a universe inspired by iconic Disney characters.

Meanwhile, Core Keeper focuses on exploration and survival in an underground world, with crafting, combat, and cooperative progression mechanics.

A change that is already starting to be felt in PS Plus

Sony recalls that, starting in 2026, the monthly games for PS Plus Essential will increasingly prioritize PS5.

The PS4 versions will only be offered when compatible editions exist, marking a gradual transition toward the new generation.

Last days to claim the December games

Until January 5, 2026, users can still add the December titles. These include Lego Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3, The Outlast Trials, Synduality Echo of Ada, and Neon White.

All claimed games remain available as long as the subscription is active.
