PlayStation Plus has already confirmed in advance one of the three games that will arrive at the Essential level on August 4. The complete list of titles for August will be announced on July 29.
The announcement comes after Sonyconfirmed the latest games for PS Plus Extra corresponding to July 28, including "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind", "Dying Light", "Snow Bros. Wonderland", and "Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector".

Big Walk, the first confirmed game for August
At the beginning of 2026, PlayStation had confirmed that “Big Walk” would arrive as a day-one game on PS Plus at some point during the year. During the Nintendo Direct in June 2026, the title finally received its confirmed release date for the service: August 4.
The game, developed by House House and published by Panic, is a multiplayer cooperative adventure focused on teamwork and communication, as players explore a new open world available on the platform.
What Big Walk is about
Players will encounter challenges, puzzles, and discoveries that they must solve by working together. However, communication is not easy, as the characters are muted and must come up with different tools to communicate.

Among those resources are walkie-talkies, laser pointers, binoculars, megaphones, flares, whiteboards, cowbells, and even a large golden head, in line with the chaotic proposal typical of PlayStation's cooperative games.

“Big Walk” supports cross-play cooperative gameplay for between 2 and 12 players, adding an extra dose of chaos to the experience. The title will also be available on Steam and Nintendo Switch 2.

What other games are joining PS Plus in August
In addition to "Big Walk", there will be new additions to PS Plus Extra during the second half of August. Meanwhile, PS Plus Premium has already confirmed the arrival of “Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams”, the action-adventure game focused on sword fights against demonic entities.
The addition of this title comes ahead of the release of its sequel, “Onimusha: Way of the Sword”, one of the most anticipated games of 2026, so it wouldn't be surprising if subscribers take advantage of the service to catch up with the franchise.
