A massive update focused on convenience and content
Among the central changes, the highlight is the overhaul of the crafting system. With more than 6,000 items in the game, the new interface organizes recipes by categories and adds a search function.
In addition, integration with nearby chests was expanded. Players can now use stored materials without moving them to the inventory, speeding up exploration and building.
Spectator mode and housing adjustments
In multiplayer, the game adds Spectate mode, which allows players to watch the match from other players' perspectives while they wait to respawn. It is a simple change, but one that the community has heavily requested.

The NPC housing system was also made more flexible. NPCs no longer need a valid house to appear, although at night they leave if they do not have an assigned home.
World Seeds: more control and creativity
The update focuses on World Seeds: a dedicated menu was added that makes it easier to discover special seeds and combine them with each other. The major novelty is an official Skyblock seed, which starts on a floating island with limited resources. There are also themed seeds with constant rain, permanent events, and experimental effects.

Crossovers with Dead Cells and Palworld
The crossover with Dead Cells adds weapons, cosmetic items, furniture, and abilities inspired by the roguelike, adapted to Terraria's pixel art style.
Meanwhile, the crossover with Palworld introduces summonable Pals that function as active companions. Some help with mining, others with gathering or exploring, providing new mechanics.
More than 650 new items and environmental improvements
In total, version 1.4.5 adds more than 650 objects. There are new mounts, whips for summoners, furniture, creatures, and environmental hazards. Even the classic rocks receive some love: new types of boulders appear with dynamic behaviors that change depending on storms or secret seeds.
