This result marks the highest level for the first four months of the year since 2013, consolidating a trend of recovery and expansion in the export sector thanks to the successful economic program of the Government of Javier Milei.
Performance by Sector
The growth was not concentrated in a single segment but extended to all major export sectors. In this regard, the performance of Fuels and Energy stood out, showing a 101.1% increase.
Meanwhile, Agricultural Origin Manufactures (MOA) recorded a 42.7% rise, Primary Products (PP) advanced by 29.4%, and Industrial Origin Manufactures (MOI) grew by 17.5%.
Another relevant piece of information from the report is the evolution according to the size of the companies. Microenterprises led the growth with a 61.9% expansion, followed by small companies, which increased their exports by 36.8%, and medium-sized companies, with a 23.3% rise. This dynamic reflects an expansion of the export base, with greater participation of smaller firms in international markets.

Significant increases were also recorded in Spain (+62.9%) and China (+47.7%). In the region, Uruguay showed an increase of 14.8%, while Brazil recorded an improvement of 10.1%.
The data released by the Minister of Economy reflects a scenario of sustained expansion for the SME segment in foreign trade, with improvements in both volume and diversification of markets and products.
In this context, the performance of the first four months positions small and medium-sized enterprises as one of the engines of Argentine export growth in 2026.
The result also marks a significant change compared to previous years, reaching a level not seen in over a decade.
