Additionally, in a completely delusional decision, they determined that these buses will be driven only by women.

In a new episode of waste of public resources, the Buenos Aires government of Jorge Macri decided a few months ago to spend millions of dollars on a fleet of electric buses, whose unbelievable and questionable details reveal the lack of common sense and the deepening of an ideological agenda that raises more doubts than solutions.

According to the information provided by the Minister of Infrastructure, Pablo Bereciartua, these buses, which are already on their way to Argentina directly from China, have a range of 170 km and a maximum speed of 12 km/h.

This last fact is especially relevant because, in a world where speed and efficiency of public transport are essential, the City government decides to implement a means of transport that moves slower than a bicycle. All this, of course, at a cost of billions of pesos, paid by the Buenos Aires taxpayers.

But the waste and madness don't end there. In a clear attempt to meet ideological demands, Jorge Macri's Government determined that these buses be driven exclusively by women.

This measure is not only unnecessary and discriminatory, but it also sets a dangerous precedent of public policy based on gender instead of merit and efficiency. Are men supposed to be unable to work as drivers in the public transport system? Are they being denied a job opportunity based on gender?

This exclusionary approach only demonstrates a lack of consideration on Jorge Macri's part toward equality before the law for all citizens, regardless of their gender.

Furthermore, the argument that these buses "improve the frequency of public service" seems hardly credible, since considering that the maximum speed of these vehicles will be 12 km/h, it is likely that the service will end up being even slower and less efficient than traditional buses, instead of offering a true improvement in the quality of the City's public transport.

With a million-dollar investment in an impractical, slow transport system with clear discriminatory implications, Jorge Macri's Buenos Aires government once again demonstrates its tendency to prioritize leftist ideological agendas over efficiency, equality before the law, and the well-being of all citizens.
