São Paulo will kick off a decisive week with two significant commitments on the horizon, but for Dorival Júnior, there is not much room to divide attention. After the 2-0 victory against Atlético Mineiro in the Brasileirao, the coach made it clear that the first leg against Boca in the quarter-finals of the Copa Sudamericana at La Bombonera is already the center of attention.
Although a key match against Palmeiras in the local tournament appears in the middle of the series, the coach prioritized the international clash. "The most important thing now is the match on Tuesday; we need to concentrate all our efforts on that game to have a great performance there," said Dorival Júnior at a press conference.
The coach explained that the victory against Galo was also thought of in light of what is to come and stated that both situations are part of the same planning. "It is very difficult to say anything looking ahead to a week from now. We have to take it one match at a time. The match today is directly related to what we will do on Tuesday; there is no way to separate one from the other," he noted.
