On the last day of 2025, the increases in the fees for the Vehicle Technical Inspection in Córdoba were made official.
The ITV is a mandatory procedure for all vehicles authorized to circulate in the city.
The fee modification took effect on January 1 and was authorized by the Municipality after a request from the company that holds the service concession.
The new scheme implies an 18% increase in relation to the values set in July of last year and applies to all the categories included in the system, from private cars to trucks, buses, and units assigned to public transportation.
What Córdoba's ITV is
The purpose of the ITV is to verify the general condition of vehicles and their suitability to circulate under safe conditions.
El nuevo tarifario de la ITV implica un incremento del 18% en relación con los valores fijados en julio del año pasado.
During the technical inspection, key elements such as the braking system, steering, suspension, operation of the lights, condition of the tires, and levels of polluting gas emissions are evaluated.
Having a valid inspection is an essential requirement to circulate legally within the city.
With the update, private cars must pay $46,606, while motorcycles up to 175 cc pay $16,478 and higher-displacement ones $24,845.
In the case of taxis and remises, the amount rises to $53,406, while pickup trucks reach $67,701.
For larger vehicles, trucks have a cost of $93,143 and buses $85,079, among other categories included.
The concessionaire indicated that the adjustment responds to the increase in the system's operating costs, which they stated rose by more than 44% during the last year.
In that context, they explained that the update seeks to sustain the provision of the service under criteria of accessibility, efficiency, and quality.
Requirements for the ITV in Córdoba
To undergo the inspection, the vehicle must be presented at the authorized facility with the corresponding documentation, which includes the vehicle registration card (in physical or official digital format), the previous certificate if available, and the means of payment, since debit cards are accepted.
In the case of public transportation, the technical logbook and the presence of the owner of the unit are also required.
It is also recalled that the vehicle must attend in proper condition: without fluid leaks, without loose elements, with a valid fire extinguisher, and with the required warning triangles.
It is also not permitted to present the vehicle with hitches, bull bars, or non-approved lighting systems.
The new fee schedule once again has a direct impact on the wallets of Córdoba's drivers, who must comply with the inspection in order to circulate under the current regulations.
